Skippa Da Flippa threw a lot of shade at Quality Control Records’ Coach K and P in an effort to be released from his 360 deal with the trap music mega label. Skippa posted a series of tweets last week that directly disrespected the QC heads and indirectly threatened to do harm if his contract was not voided.
Skippa Da Flippa Sends Shots at Coach K QC Music Group
360 contracts are designed to create revenue streams from all of an artists available opportunities and channel them into one place where the label can collect and give all money directly to the artist. Some argue that in most instances the labels take an unfair share of the artists earnings. However, proponents of 360 contracts argue that the artist has more opportunities to create revenue because the label secures deals for peripheral income.
Either way, when tweets like, “F**k you too ni**a,” and “Y’all gone let a nigga out dis 360? Or y’all want me to do what I gotta do?” get posted, a line has been crossed and action must happen. Who do you think is right here? Skippa or QC?
